brani ritmici per l'avviamento di un gruppo tamburi da realizzare alla Scuola Primaria e Secondaria

After the children, through the various activities on rhythm proposed in the OkRhythm level 1 and OkRhythm level 2 courses, have acquired the rhythmic sense and the concentration necessary to play in a coordinated group, in this section of the site we propose pieces suitable for the creation of a drum or percussion group of your choice or availability..

To give you an idea of what you can achieve, ensuring and emphasising that everything will be very, very simple if you follow our advice, we present two tracks:

PERFORMANCE OF SONG NO. 1

PERFORMANCE OF SONG NO. 2

To do this, you need to make a drum. First, get paint buckets of different sizes (18/20 litres and/or 30 litres), then remove the lid and make two holes in the side (I recommend using a tin soldering gun) into which you insert a 4 cm wide and 170 cm long grogren tape (tie knots inside the bucket). Finally, complete the set by buying two drum sticks/snare drum no. 5A. Finally, you can now become small but real drummers, practise at home or at school or perform and parade in a group!!!

In addition to the drum and drumsticks, which are indispensable for each of your students, you need an element that we will name ‘snare drummer’ who will play the snare drum. This figure is indispensable and must have musical training. Please note that it does not necessarily have to be a pupil in your class, but you can look for one within your school, even if it is of a different order, or you can contact an external music school, whether private or public. You will only have to concentrate on making the drum part.

LET’S MOVE ON TO THE MUSICAL PART!

Remember that the following symbol that you will find everywhere, called “refrain”, in short means the repetition of the music between the dots. This repetition generally occurs 2 times unless otherwise indicated in the score itself or by the teacher. In our pieces, when you find the refrain, the repetition must occur 4 times.

For a correct and simple realisation of the tracks, we recommend the following steps:

1) Reading sheet music with the voice:

2) Practising with videos to study the drum score at different speeds, using voice and hands!

3) If you also want to achieve a choreographic result, we recommend studying the score ‘useful for the synchronous use of chopsticks’. At this stage, children should only practise with their hands, taking into account the instructions you will find in the score under each note. In this regard, we recommend using the left hand with the ‘s’, the right hand with the ‘d’ and both hands with the ‘sd’.

4) Whether or not you are interested in the previous step, you should complete the study of the songs using the following videos, in which you can also hear the snare drum notes. You must therefore be careful to play only your notes, those of the drum, without adding any other notes that relate to the snare drum part. For this last step, you must use your drumsticks!

In each video, you will initially have to wait 8 clicks to feel the tempo, then start to perform and repeat each refrain, generally, 4 times (where it fits).

Below are the scores for the snare drum:

3) If you also want to achieve a choreographic result, we recommend that you study the sheet of music “useful for the synchronous use of chopsticks” using, initially, only the hands and paying attention to our indications that you will find in the sheet of music under each musical figure. In this respect we indicate with “L” the use of the left hand, with “R” the right hand and with “LR” both hands.

4) Complete the study of the songs using the ‘complete study video’, remembering that you only need to play the drum part this time with the sticks (first line) and therefore do not play the notes that refer to the snare drum part.
